Name: Storybird - artful storytelling
Objectives: This webpage is aimed at promoting students’ interest regarding reading and writing. Storybird offers you the possibility to create your own books (picture books, long stories, poems…) accompanied by illustrations and then publish and share them which, with no doubt, will engage students to create more elaborated stories. On the other hand, it offers the possibility to read other participants’ stories, and thus enrich your literary knowledge.

Process: First of all, students have to sign in to the webpage. Once this is done, they will see in their profite that there are badges and crowns given when tasks are accomplished, which may promote even more their interest on the tasks.
Creating a story is very easy; you just choose one illustration type and a book format, and you can start writing. Once finished, you can publish your story either privately or publicly. We’d recommend students to do it in a private way. Afterwards, they can share their stories among them, and feel like real writers! This will promote reading skills as well. They can also explore the web and find any interesting story they like.
With this tool, the learning process will be significant, meaningful and relevant, and for a real purpose - becoming real writers!
