RATIONALE:

Students have been selected to carry out this project according to their level of English domain; that is why there are students corresponding to three different age ranges. However, it should be remarked that most of the students are from 1st grade. In the context where the TU takes place, students present quite a low domain of English. Therefore, the main aim is to introduce routines, so they get used to the language. As for the project, the topic of the family is one of the main topics dealt with in the initial grades of Primary Education. It allows the introduction of basic vocabulary and grammatical structures. Not only that, but this project also focuses on the diversity of family types, the respect and the value of all sorts of families. Therefore, the linguistic learning is linked to a work on values, making the project more meaningful and significant. The school where the project takes place is formed by a wide range of family types: students can feel identified with the work being done in class and link it to their own lives.
