About me

Hello, it is Laura!

I am 21, I am from Barcelona and I am currently studying Primary Education – English Minor. I’m at my last school year at UAB and I’m really looking forward to finishing my degree and becoming a teacher. I have always wanted to be a teacher; since I was a little girl I knew this job was made for me. That is why I have been in contact with children from long ago: as leisure time monitor, as babysitter… And this year I’ve started to teach English lessons at an English academy.

I consider myself a hard-working person who never gives up and who is always wanting to innovate and improve. I like sharing ideas and opinions with my colleagues, and working collaboratively. Also, I am determinedto not give up when difficult situations arise, but rather struggl to improve; I learn from my mistakes, and last but not least, I am passionate about children and teaching. I am well aware I still don’t have much experience and there are a lot of things I have to learn: I am not used to work with large groups, and maintaining control and order is not always easy, and I will need lots of patience, which sometimes is not my forte. But I’m really excited about being a teacher!

 The project 

This webpage is aimed at presenting my learning experience during the development of my Practicum IV.

 

First of all, there is a contextualisation of the project on the section MY TEACHING PRACTICE. There, the main features of the project are presented (objectives, contents, competences...) along with the main characteristics of the school where it has been implemented and that justify the election of the activities.

The main focus is on the Teaching Sequence implemented during three weeks, which is explained in detail in the section PROPOSALS. Each proposal has an independent page to be able to present all the fatures in detail, along with the pre-task and post-task that complete the sequence.

After the implementation, a REFLECTION has been done about how the Teaching Sequence worked. Moreover, a personal refelction on WHAT HAVE I LEARNT? during the Practicum IV is presented as a clousure for this project.
